Charlotte Potter began her wedding business in 2006 after discovering that event planning was a niche. After finishing her degree in Psychology at Westminster College of Salt Lake City, she began working for the state of Utah as a Career Counselor. She taught job seekers and high school students about career planning, job opportunities, communication skills, job search skills and had a special focus on helping first time job seekers be successful in the job market. After ten years of helping others discover their talents in relation to a future career, she decided to follow her own heart and pursue a new venture as a Wedding Consulting business owner.

In 2006, Charlotte graduated from the ACPWC (Association of Certified and Professional Wedding Consultants) training course, and is currently working on becoming a Certified Wedding Consultant.

Charlotte cannot imagine having any career other than being a Wedding Consultant. She explains her work as “the most fulfilling and amazing way to connect with people during the happiest times in their lives”. Her personal style, creative ideas, experience, and her ability to stay focused and calm all contribute to successful events. She guarantees that each client will receive the personal and special attention they deserve.

Dear Charlotte,

We just had to write to you to tell you how fantastic you made our wedding day.  It was beyond our dream come true day, and it was absolutely perfect….as you promised.

Cole and I were able to relax and enjoy our wedding day, and we knew that you had everything under control.  Our families repeatedly commented on how amazing everything looked, and how creative and artistic you are.  They too were truly impressed with your “magic”.
You always seemed to make us feel at ease every time we met.  We would meet with you most times after working all day, and be completely frazzled; just being around you made us feel calm and confident.  We knew we were in the right hands from our very first meeting with you.  You took our ideas (and there were many of them, as you know), and you turned them into more than we ever imagined.
We would definitely recommend you to anyone we know who is getting married.  You are so truly good at what you do and anyone trusting you to do their wedding, or party, will never regret a single minute.
We look forward to having more occasions to celebrate, and we already know who our planner is going to be.  YOU!  You are the best ever!

Dearest Charlotte,

My family thanks you from the bottom of our hearts, for all that you did to make our mothers 60th birthday so beautiful and special.  The ideas you had for her party were perfectly put together, and the end result made her cry from both surprise and awe.  She was so happy, and she had such a wonderful time.  The team you brought in was great to work with too, and they were especially courteous and enthusiastic to all of our guests.

Without you, our party wouldn’t have been the event that it was.  You are a VERY talented planner.  If we run across anyone even considering planning a party on their own, we have your business cards, and we’re not afraid to pass them out!

We’ll call you to plan Dad’s party when he turns 70.  Start thinking of ideas, ok?

Dear Charlotte,

Our  20 year class reunion was amazingly fantastic.  You did such a good job managing all of the details and putting together an event that our classmates will remember for a lifetime.  I know I gave you a lot of responsibilities from the very beginning of our planning process, and pulling the whole thing together by yourself was not supposed to be one of them.  You took the reins on the planning, and made it more than I was ever imagining.
I always felt extremely confident in your decisions, and never worried for a minute that our party would be less than perfect.  You kept in such great contact with me that I felt like I was right there with you.  I always knew what you were doing, and when you were doing it, and I appreciated that you always cleared any final decisions with me.
Good job girl!  We’ll start the planning for our 25th reunion in three years, how does that sound? 

I wish you all of the success in the world with your event planning business, and in life.  You deserve it!
